USB-C is table stakes now. The useful question is whether the light around that port is still worth carrying after a month of real use.
I care more about three things than the port itself: a true low mode, sane thermal behavior on medium, and a charge-port seal that does not feel like an afterthought. If a light can hit 2,000-plus lumens for a screenshot but annoys you every day on the modes you actually use, it is not a great EDC light.
If you want to compare what is live right now, run the EDC collection and look at the USB-C options first, then narrow by carry size and controls. That path usually gets you to a keeper faster than sorting by max output.
